Kurt Converse shoes

Converse are to release a limited edition signature shoe in honour of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

The shoe, which will include Cobain’s name, lyrics and signature, marks the brand’s 100th anniversary.

Cobain’s widow Courtney Love has sanctioned the release, just months are she attacked Doc Martin’s for using the Nirvana star in an advertising campaign.

Courtney loses it again

It seems that Courtney Love has been defrauded out of millions of dollars by none other that Kurt Cobain. How is that possible, well, let me explain. People have been using the dead rocker’s social security number to open up lines of credit and one theif even managed to buy a 3.2 million dollar house in New Jersey last year. Love also says that people have set up 188 credit cards in her name. Love says that,” she knew it had been going on since she went cookoo in 2003. It was fraud after fraud but nobody believed me until now.” Love is working with police who are investigating her claims.

*Note people and including a lot her fans thinks she back on drugs again, but I can't confirm that or say the story of fraud is false. You can judge your personal opinion yourself.

New Kurt Cobain mixed-media documentary in the works

Up-and-coming filmmaker Brett Morgen explains that "Courtney Love sort of sanctioned" him to make the film about the deceased legendary musician and it may end up being his next project, although he's got a narrative feature that he's trying to get made as well. While he's hoping to start work on this in the next few months, because there's so much to it, it could end up taking 3 or 4 years to complete.

Morgan attempts to describes the idea, in a very weird way, by saying "it's going to be like this 3 dimensional visceral sort of sublime movie." What exactly does that mean? Well, thankfully Morgen dives head-first into a full on explanation of the concept and idea, and it actually sounds very promising. First off, Morgen does confirm that he did get the rights from Courtney Love, Cobain's now widowed wife, to use his music and artifacts in the film.

"It's all of Kurt's artifacts and archives and journals and yeah we'll have the music of course but the… his home movies. He did stop action animation, which I don't know if anyone's ever seen but I saw it and it's fucking great. I mean it was crude and I'm gonna probably refine it…"

"We're going to make a film as if Kurt Cobain was making his autobiography and so and one of the things about using animation in it is that at first I was like oh, man, it was the worst time for archival films because from like '83 to '92 video sucked. People were shooting 3/4 then they were using these nasty 8mm handy cams, so all the grunge videos like whenever you see videos from grunge bands they always look like shit so I was like oh god, you know I'm sort of a fetishist with film and whatnot."

Scarlett Johansson has no plans to play Courtney Love

While promoting her upcoming film, “The Other Boleyn Girl,” Scarlett Johansson opened up to “Access Hollywood” about her rumored Courtney Love role and her upcoming album. Johansson squashed rumors that she is set to play a young Courtney Love in the Kurt Cobain biopic, saying, “I have not seen a script. Timed to coincide with Kurt Cobain’s 41st birth anniversary, KURT COBAIN ABOUT A SON is an intimate and moving portrait of the late musician and artist Kurt Cobain as told entirely in his own words. The film, which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2006, was nominated for a 2007 Independent Spirit Award, was screened at numerous top international film festivals around the world, and will be released on DVD from Shout! Factory on February 19, 2008, the day before Cobain’s birthday. The DVD also contains a behind-the-scenes featurette and has a suggested retail price of $19.99.

Directed by AJ Schnack, KURT COBAIN ABOUT A SON is based on more than 25 hours of previously unheard audio interviews conducted with Cobain by noted music journalist Michael Azerrad for his book Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana.

KURT COBAIN ABOUT A SON is a profound, almost dream-like account of Cobain's own successes and failures, thoughts and experiences, allowing the audience to gain unprecedented intimacy with this legendary figure.

When Courtney Love asked gorgeous Scarlett Johansson to portray her in the new £30million movie about life with tragic rocker husband Kurt Cobain.

And Courtney, who is executive producer on the film, has been raving about Lost In Translation star Scarlett, who she knows from the LA party scene.

The movie "Heavier Than Heaven" is based on a biography of Kurt written with Courtney's help.

And Courtney has also lined up Oscar-nominated Ryan Gosling to play husband Kurt.

Her friend adds: "She wants the best actors to portray them - she will be on set all the time giving Scarlett and Ryan advice on what it was like being one part of the most notorious couples since Sid and Nancy. It will be explosive.
